Several hundreds Albanians staged demonstrations today in Pristina, protesting against negotiations over the future status of Kosovo that set out today in Vienna. The radical movement Self-Determination, along with several political organizations and associations are standing behind the demonstrations. They consider "the negotiations over Kosovo to be unacceptable, as the people living in the province are entitled to self-determination".The President of the Kosovo's Writers Association, Adem Demaci, backed this position, saying the negotiations were unacceptable because "Serbia committed to many crimes in Kosovo"."We make a plea to our allies USA and EU not to make decisions that are incompliant with the political will of this people", Demaci said. The independence of Kosovo was established in June 1999, therefore, no negotiations with the Serbian side should take place, the participants at the demonstrations said, announcing fresh protests in the following days.
