Bulgaria May Adjust Euro Entry Date

Plamen Oresharski, the Finance Minister of Bulgaria said that the country is flexible about joining the EUR zone and may pass the currency in 4-5 years instead of 2010.
We will join when we meet all criteria, maybe 2011, maybe 2012, he told the Reuters News Agency in an interview during a meeting of European Union finance ministers.
Oresharski added that Bulgaria, which already runs one of the tightest financial policies in Europe, is ready to keep its wide current account deficit in check and cut inflation, which is the biggest obstacle on its EUR entry path.
